Fall 2008 Film Schedule
Cinema Novo is proud to present its Fall 2008 film lineup. This semester’s film program includes tales of thievery, B-boys, politically charged cartoons, pet zombies, Koreans eaten alive by a monster, lots o Francais, and much more! Cinema Novo showcases cutting edge, foreign, independent and art films in 35mm format. Films are selected by a panel of film experts. Cinema Novo is made possible through a grant provided by the Texas Commission on the Arts.
Cinema Novo Films will show at the UTEP Union Cinema on Fridays and Saturdays during the semester (excluding football weekends). Tickets for each film are $2 for non-UTEP Students and $1 for UTEP students. Tickets will be sold prior to each film at the UTEP Union Cinema. Tournees Film Festival (France), October 17th and 18th
5 French Films in two days, the amazing story of a young girl in Iran in Persepolis, the dramatic recovery and determination of a journalist in The Diving Bell and the Butterfly, A story about deception, art, and passion in Moliere, Tell No One A psychological thriller that starts of with a man receiving an email from his wife who has been deceased for 8 years, and a comedy about a couple trying to rekindle their romance in Paris in Two Days in Paris. Tournees is made possible through a grant obtained from the French American Cultural Exchange Council.
