The industry has been and will continue to be a billion-dollar trade, regardless of the rocky stock market. Day after day millions of television viewers, product consumers, men and women of all ages watch celebrities, glamazons, and television personalities strut red carpets and nail magazine shoots. What many of us don’t realize is that these beauties don’t wake up with fierce faux lashes, luminous skin, and flawless blowouts. The question is: how does one achieve that look? Answer: A GLAM SQUAD. Innovator Joseph Carrillo began dreaming of the “Glam Squad” concept years ago when he was starting as a junior makeup artist for a major makeup powerhouse. Now, the young yet experienced makeup artist, along with his beauty entourage offers everything any man, woman, princess, or fashionista needs in order to be red-carpet ready. DULCE CHAVEZ
My name is Dulce Alexandra Chavez. I was born in 1983 in El Paso, Texas. For the better part of my existence, I have lived here, but it wasn’t until I arrived in Dallas, Texas that I really got a true understanding for my passion. Throughout my childhood my parents noticed I had gift for the arts, fashion in particular. The inspiration for my designs has been my family, friends, the present and the past. I have translated this into my brand, Duck & England. Duck & England represents the vision that I have for the fashion world. Those who appreciate it have an acquired taste. I will be honest though, Duck & England is not for everyone, it is for the individuals who believe what they wear is a complete representation of who they are as people and by this I mean: classy, confident, bold and willing to take risks in a moment’s notice. Throughout my experience in the fashion industry I have come to appreciate the hard work and dedication that goes in to completing a garment. Since 2003 I have worked at many amazing shows such as: CH Carolina Herrera, Oscar de la Renta, Valentino, Giorgio Armani, Luca Luca, Custo Barcelona and recently Vogue CDFA (The Council of Fashion Designers of America).
TWO MOVEMENTS
Two movements is the creation of Adrian (chato) Correa a local artist and now fashion designer. The idea of the fashion line is creating street wear with color n spunk in t-shirts and other wear. The name two movements came to existence because of the idea that there is always two movements or situations happening in your life at all times, like your work and your school etc…but the true inspiration of the art comes from the Aztec art and other Mexican folk & indigenous art. In every t-shirt or design there are two symbols witch also represent movement (two movements). The idea is to try something new and unique but also representing our rich Mexican art.
