The MLK Canned Food Drive Committee will stage a media event on Thursday, January 8 at 5:00 PM at the Walmart Neighborhood Market located at 3000 Saul Kleinfeld. Committee members and local dignitaries will be on hand to donate the ceremonial first can of food as well as to inspire customers to donate to the food drive. Volunteers from the City of El Paso, El Paso County, Ameri-corps, Salvation Army, UTEP and others will be on-hand for the inception. For more information call Carl Robinson at 740-7826.
