This year, the El Paso Mission Trail Association partnered with the San Elizario Genealogy and Historical Society for a two-day conference. They've invited award-winning scholars, renowned historians as well as local indigenous leaders who will discuss their unique perspectives of the diverse people and cultures whose influence forever changed and came to define the American Southwest.
All the topics and events are dedicated to porote and preserve the rich and beautiful history that make the colorful "Tapestry of Culture: The Illumination of Colors" that is San Elizario and the Paseo del Norte Region.
The conference will culminate with the "Re-enactment of the First Thanksgiving of the Southwest" and continue with a celebration of music, food, exhibits and art.
