After co-founding the label Black Hole Recordings in 1997 he released his first solo album “In My Memory” in 2001 with several international hits including his remix of Delerium’s “Silence” featuring Sarah McLachlan. From 2002 to 2004, he was named the “World’s No.1 DJ” three consecutive times by DJ Magazine.
After releasing his second studio album “Just Be” in 2004, at the Summer Olympics he performed live at the opening ceremony in Athens, Greece becoming the first DJ to play on stage at an Olympics Games. In April 2007 he released his third studio album, “Elements of Life,” which reached No. 1 on the Dutch album chart as well on “Billboard Top Electronic Albums” in the U.S. and received a nomination for a 2008 Grammy Award.
His fourth album, “Kaleidoscope,” was released in October 2009.
