‘ADOPT A SOLDIER’ — The 6th Air Defense Artillery Brigade invites El Paso families to share their homes and Thanksgiving holiday with two or more soldiers on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, Nov. 26, as part of the Thanksgiving Adopt A Soldier Program.
For more than 30 years, hundreds of soldiers in Advanced Individual Training at Fort Bliss who spend Thanksgiving Day far from home and family are matched with civilian and military families on Thanksgiving Day. Interested families may call 568-1744.
The adoption process on Thanksgiving Day begins at 9 a.m. the Stout Physical Fitness Center, Building 2930 on Fort Bliss. There will be a brief opening ceremony and families will be introduced to their soldiers for the day.
