Since 2005, the El Paso Public Library has held their annual TEENFEST and watched it grow! In 2005, TEENFEST had 2 bands performing and 75 people attended. 2006, TEENFEST had 5 bands performing and a car show featuring 45 cars. 300 people attended. In 2007, TEENFEST had 6 bands performing, a Car & Motorcycle show, Break-dancing performances, over 15 inside information booths and approximately 2000 attended! We also gave away 200 Read El Paso Read t-shirts to the teens attending.

COST: FREE and this event is suitable for the whole family!
This event is the official “kickoff” to the library’s summer reading program for teens!
Cohen Stadium will become a carnival of fun and games for teens of all ages! There will be a Car & Motorcycle show, various game booths, face painting, hot air attractions and more!
There will be performances by local bands with El Paso “TEENS” that represent various genres such as: Hip-hop, Rap, Alternative, Rock, and Metal throughout the day supported by a professional sound and light company. Surprise performances by local organizations as well as information booths on education, health and of course information on how to apply for a library card and join the El Paso Public Library Summer Reading Club!
If you would like to participate or help, you can contact us for the following:
1) If you offer a service or have information that would benefit teens, and would like to setup an information table. (at no cost, but you must set up a demonstration or a simple carnival game for the teens to play. Including small prizes would be nice!)
2) Would like to donate cases of water to be given away at the event. (We would like to have FREE bottled water available for those who attend the event)
3) Have items that can be given away as prizes to the teens. Hats, t-shirts, food coupons, gift certificates, cd’s and other items.
4) We would like to print TEENFEST t-shirts to be given away to the teens. If you want your logo to be on the “official” TEENFEST t-shirt, we will accept a minimum donation of $75.00.
Also, any monetary donation or products and services will be accepted. We will include any logos or names of those who are willing to lend a hand in all publications and advertisements. This event will be highly publicized and there will be an accompanying article in the El Paso Times. Press releases will be sent to the local TV stations as well.
