El Pasoans lined up this past Saturday to have one of Traverso's bicis painted on fabric, paper and even their vehicles.

In town from Rosario, Argentina to promote the upcoming show The Disappeared at the Stanlee Rubin Center on June 15, Traverso met with the public at events in his honor over the weekend of May 29.

On Saturday, Traverso set up shop at a UTEP parking lot, where students, staff and volunteers painted bicycles and letters on various surfaces. The bicycles and envelopes represent the 350 men and women that were "disappeared" or kidnapped during Argentina’s “Dirty War,” the total estimated at 30,000. 350 were reported to have disappeared from Rosario, Traverso's hometown, 29 of them Traverso counts as close friends.
