The protest began on Wednesday at the San Jacinto Plaza in Downtown El Paso. It was from 8 am to 8 pm, where about 10-15 people committed themselves to fasting for the rights of immigrant workers. The group, a coalition of organizations put together with the Border Network for Human Rights, called the long-term issue a "difficult struggle."
On Thursday, people walked from the Chamizal National Memorial Park to the Plaza at about 5 p.m., and a rally took place in the first amendment area of the park.
