 El mes pasado hubo un intercambio de frases airadas durante un programa de radio de El Paso entre el conductor de un programa de entrevistas y un miembro del grupo de colaboradores de Silvestre Reyes, congresista de los Estados Unidos, lo cual generó cuestionamientos acerca de la relación que existe entre Reyes y el principal acusado de un escándalo local que contribuyó a desatar una investigación de corrupción pública en El Paso.

‘Parte de interés periodístico nota sobre donativos a Silvestre Reyes’

 La decisión de investigar y redactar una nota periodística sobre las contribuciones que Bob Jones hizo a la campaña del congresista Silvestre Reyes disfrazadas de donativos por parte de sus hijos —en ese entonces menores de edad— parte de un interés “legítimamente periodístico”.
