A parallel case to the public corruption investigations that have gripped El Paso, NCED could heat up soon. “I know they have renewed their interest in the NCED cases that have been on something of a back burner because of the corruption cases,” a defense attorney said.

MHMR proposes waiting lists for mental health care by Neil Davis
MHMR has been serving more people than it receives funding for, its director said. Tonight, the agency will discuss a proposal to create waiting lists because of the overflow numbers and lack of funding.

Mexico President Felipe Calderon and the Super-Maquiladora by Frontra NorteSur
The Mexican president commented on the "super-maquila" that will employ 9,000-40,000 workers, and touched briefly on the broader security issue, noting the deployment of 4,000 soldiers and federal police in Ciudad Juarez to counter organized crime. However, he avoided other thorny issues.
