Finally, the epic story of the Aug. 19 City Council meeting can be told! The Council trimmed some off the top of the tax rate, but let bus fares and electric rates get a little long in the back. Also, some CRRMA and stormwater talk, and a little treat at the end.

Within an hour or so of Newspaper Tree making inquiries into the nomination of District Clerk Gilbert Sanchez to the Fair Housing Task Force, Northeast city Rep. Melina Castro pulled the item from proposal for next week's agenda.
