MCAD Announces Logo Design Competition For
Music Under the Stars;
Awarding a $750.00 Commission.

The Museums and Cultural Affairs Department (MCAD) announces a Call for Designs. MCAD is hosting a Logo Design Competition for the 25th Season of Music Under the Stars at the Chamizal National Memorial. MCAD is currently seeking professional graphic design for this project, and is open to all graphic artists or graphic artist teams in the Greater El Paso Area age 18 and over. Design selection will be narrowed to top ten (10) and placed on website for public voting.
Selection Criteria
1. Logo that reflects the mission and spirit of the 25th Silver Season of Music Under the Stars.
2. The logo will be judged upon creativity, artistic integrity and
3. The logo must have a universal appeal that is clear and easy to understand, and will be adaptable to various print and web based pieces.
Applications may be accessed via the internet at http://www.elpasotexas.gov/mcad or www.musicunderthestars.net and also can be picked up at the MCAD office located on the 1st Floor of City Hall. The address is 2 Civic Center Plaza, El Paso, Texas 79901. Applications must be postmarked or received at the Museums & Cultural Affairs Department no later than 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 31, 2008. Applications received after the deadline will not be considered.
